Every now and then, something happens that reminds us why our work matters. The Shine Awards 2025 was one of those rare moments for Shoorah; a night filled with joy, authenticity and genuine celebration.
Hosted at the iconic Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, the event brought together an incredible community of people who care deeply about mental health and wellbeing. It did not feel like a typical corporate awards night. Instead, it was warm, human and full of connection. No alcohol, no pressure, just real stories and real people sharing what wellbeing truly means.
We were honoured to be recognised in the Tech for Mental Health category. For the Shoorah team, this recognition felt both uplifting and humbling. It is not simply an award. It is a reminder of the impact that simple, accessible wellbeing tools can have on individuals, families and workplaces across the country.
What made the evening unforgettable was the emotion in the room. Performances and stories shared by people with lived experience brought honesty and courage to the stage. There was a sense of unity, a feeling that everyone was there for a purpose bigger than themselves. This aligns so closely with Shoorah’s mission: to create safe spaces where people feel understood, valued and supported.
The night also highlighted important causes, including the incredible work of NACOA, a charity that supports children affected by parental alcohol use. Their presence was a powerful reminder that wellbeing is not a luxury, it is a lifeline that many rely on.
For Shoorah, this award strengthens our commitment even further. We will continue building tools that are grounded in compassion, practical support and everyday human moments. Tools that help people feel calm, confident and connected. Tools that remind you that you do not have to face life alone.
We left the Shine Awards feeling inspired, grateful and ready for the next chapter with our community. There is so much more we want to create, and we cannot wait to continue this journey with all of you.
