Who is the one person you find it harder to be kind to than any other?

Yourself, right?

This is true for so many of us….and for so many of our Shoorah customers before they start their journey with us.

We do things and say things to ourselves that we’d never do and say to someone else.

And our wellbeing, and how we feel within ourselves, is massively linked to this.

Self-kindness is key to feeling good about ourselves, and to boosting our wellness…..and everything about Shoorah is designed to help us feel the way we want to feel.

Here are some ways to be self-kindness:

Practice self-care – try to take care of yourself physically by getting enough sleep, eating well, and exercising regularly. Use the Shoorah rituals tool to cultivate helpful habits for yourself.

Do things you enjoy – do more of the activities that you find fun and fulfilling, even if they just feel like the little things, they’re more important than we realise.

Practice mindfulness – take time to be present in the moment, and pay attention to your thoughts and feelings without judgment. On our app we have so many different types of meditation to help you relax, sleep, visualise a positive future and feel more grateful.

Set boundaries – say “no” to requests that are not in your best interest or that will overwhelm you.

Practice self-compassion – treat yourself with the same empathy and understanding you would show to a close friend.

Celebrate your accomplishments – make sure to acknowledge your achievements, no matter how small they might seem. They all count. The Shoorah journaling tool is perfect for noting down your achievements each day or each week, no matter how big or small they are.

Surround yourself with positive influences – spend time with people who support and uplift you and help you feel good about yourself.

Ask for help when you need it – you don’t have to struggle on alone. There’s always someone who can help, either personally or in a professional capacity.

Remember, being kind to yourself is not selfish or self-indulgent; it’s an essential part of maintaining your overall wellbeing. And we are totally here for that at Shoorah.

So start today. Think of something you can do to be kind to yourself and go right ahead and do it.

Your wellbeing is in your hands……and at Shoorah we are making it easier than ever for you to boost your wellbeing and practise more self-kindness through all of the amazing tools on our wellness app. Give them a try………
